Job summary

METAL CRAFT, located in Elk River, MN, is seeking a Quality Technician for the 2nd shift. The role emphasizes ensuring materials and finished goods meet customer and company standards through inspections and FAI reports.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), 2–5 years QA experience, and strong skills with GD&T and inspection tools. We offer an hourly, non-exempt position with good benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; preferred associates in Quality Assurance or related manufacturing.
• Minimum 2–5 years quality assurance experience.
• Proficient with inspection equipment including CMM, vision systems and hand tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drawings, sampling techniques; ISO 13485 / AS 9100 familiarity.
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct receiving, in-process, final inspections and first piece set-up.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and prepare inspection reports.
• Maintain and review inspection records and containment activities.
• Support engineering with data collection and product reviews.
• Communicate across cross-functional teams and participate in lean activities.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable quality systems.
