Job summary

Wenthe-Davidson Manufacturing in Wisconsin seeks a detail-oriented quality Inspector to perform dimensional and mechanical inspections of assemblies and components on the 2nd shift.

You will use precision measuring tools and a CMM, document results, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Operations to resolve issues; prior metrology experience and blueprints/GD&T knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of metrology experience preferred.
• CMM operator experience preferred on second shift.
• Knowledge of hand tools and measuring techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; GD&T preferred.
• Ability to document inspection reports and containment notices.
• Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic shop math skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform first and periodic inspections using hand tools.
• Document inspection results in reports.
• Interpret round layouts and convert to planar layouts for inspections.
• Verify accuracy of layouts and measurements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to solve problems.
• Assist Engineering with corrective actions as needed.
• Operate CMM on second shift.
• Provide direction/training to others as required.
• Conduct in-process quality audits.
