Job summary

Bosch is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead the assigned department in Wichita, KS. The role involves directing team workflow, ensuring cost control, and coordinating with engineering to drive improvements in scheduling and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, with a Bachelor’s or Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Weekend overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a manufacturing field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisor experience in manufacturing/production.
• Ability to work weekend overtime as needed; shift requirements may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and direct team workflow within the department, including distributing work and resolving problems.
• Control costs within budget levels, minimizing scrap and rework costs.
• Anticipate and react to production problems or delays, material shortages and equipment malfunctions.
• Provide technical assistance for equipment malfunctions and expediting repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve cost reduction, scheduling, and labor planning.
• Supervise, evaluate and train the work group; assist in accident investigation and corrective action.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to safety policies.
• Maintain accurate production and employee records.
• Uphold fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures.
• Apply LEAN tools to measure and improve department KPIs (VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen).
