Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a forklift operator for the 2nd shift (3:30 pm–12 am) in New Jersey. The role involves feeding pallets into the aerator, preparing loads for presses and outside services, and supporting presses and sheeters as needed.

Overtime may be required, and candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour with benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience operating a clamp truck preferred.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Run pallets of paper through the aerator and move completed pallets to the presses.
• Ensure loads are ready for the presses when needed.
• Ensure loads are ready for outside services when needed.
• Keep floor neat.
• Assist on press when needed.
• Assist on sheeter when needed.
• Keep supply room organized.
• Keep chemicals in order.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
