Job summary

J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking a 2nd shift painter to prepare surfaces and apply primer and paint to parts and manufactured products. The role involves spraying surfaces, masking areas, and ensuring quality finishes in a controlled environment.

The ideal candidate will follow EPA, OSHA, and NIOSH guidelines, operate spray equipment, and maintain cleanliness of booths and tools while prioritizing safety and ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with paint spraying and surface preparation.
• Familiarity with hazardous material handling and safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot spray equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply primer/paint to parts and products.
• Mask areas not to be coated and avoid overspray.
• Select and mix primers and paints to achieve desired viscosity and color.
• Operate spray guns and adjust controls for width and pressure.
• Maintain cleanliness of spray booths, guns, hoses and filters.
• Follow ISO 9001 QMS and safety procedures.
