Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift in Grand Rapids, MI. You will oversee a Team Leader and ~25 employees in loading, unloading, line support, inventory control, material handling, and quality auditing within a unionized automotive manufacturing setting.

The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement, driving continuous improvement with Lean, 5S, and root-cause problem solving.

Qualifications

Supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Experience leading production employees and shift performance.
Unionized environment experience preferred.
Knowledge of Lean, 5S, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations and ensure safe, efficient execution of the schedule.
Lead one Team Leader and ~25 employees across multiple functions.
Assign labor to meet daily production needs and maintain shift continuity.
Monitor paint-line performance, quality, and material usage; take corrective action.
