Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Production Supervisor for second shift in the paint operations department. You will lead one Team Leader and about 25 employees, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity on a high-volume, automated line.

Responsibilities include coordinating labor, monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement, and coaching staff. Requires hands-on leadership in a unionized facility and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to lead a second shift and coordinate 25+ employees.
• Experience in unionized automotive environment preferred.
• Knowledge of quality controls, downtime management, and Lean/5S.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations.
• Coach Team Leader and 25 production employees.
• Assign labor to daily production needs; manage constraints.
• Monitor line performance, quality, scrap, downtime; take corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, proper PPE, regulatory compliance.
• Lead shift start-ups and handovers to next shift.
• Train employees and enforce standardized work.
• Document shift records and drive continuous improvement.
