Job summary

Easypak, a global thermoformed packaging leader, is seeking 2nd shift Packers at our Reding, PA facility. You'll be part of a fast-paced manufacturing team, handling packaging of finished products and ensuring quality while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading quality specs, removing, inspecting, counting, bagging and boxing products, reporting defects, and assisting with training of new packers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous Packer experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend quality specifications to ensure the manufacture of quality product.
• Remove, inspect, count, bag and box finished product from production machinery.
• Verbally communicate quality defects to Operator, QC Tech, Shift Lead or Shift Supervisor.
• Adhere to GMPs and maintain a clean work area.
• Support Continuous Improvement efforts to enhance metrics and workflow.
• Recommend methods to enhance safety, product quality, equipment performance and productivity.
• Participate in Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Assist in training and development of new Packer.
• Keep work area clean and organized per standards.
• Perform secondary operations (e.g., labeling, re-inspection, hand-cleaning).
• Ensure adequate supply of materials for packaging finished product.
• Identify boxes with labels, Packer numbers and date stamps.
• Remove web scrap and load into tote for transport to grinding room.
• Other duties as assigned.
