Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Flint, MI is seeking a Second Shift Mix Technician 1 to troubleshoot, repair and maintain structural foam presses, injection molding presses and related equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and HVAC PMs; follow 5S/Kaizen standards; document repairs; collaborate with production and tooling teams; and ensure safety and housekeeping excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Own tools required.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and machine troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• General and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Assist in machine rebuilds and upgrades.
• Daily production machine troubleshooting and repair.
• Document repairs and PM of equipment.
• Fabrication of fixtures as needed.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping plant-wide.
• Follow lean manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on structural foam presses, injection molding presses and all auxiliary equipment. Facility maintenance including electrical repairs, plumbing repairs and HVAC PM. Requires good communication skills and adherence to all plant Safety, Quality, 5S and Lean standards.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years manufacturing maintenance experience
• Overhead crane and fork truck operation
• Ability to use standard shop hand tools
• Advanced measuring and machining skills
• Experience in machine troubleshooting / repair
