Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Flint, MI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain structural foam presses, injection molding presses and related equipment. This role includes facility maintenance such as electrical, plumbing and HVAC PM, with emphasis on safety and lean practices.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, machine rebuilds, daily troubleshooting, tool repair, and collaboration with production, tooling, and other departments to meet production

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Read/write English.
• Overhead crane and forklift operation.
• Ability to use standard shop hand tools.
• Advanced measuring and machining skills.
• Experience in machine troubleshooting / repair.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Relay logic knowledge.
• AC/DC drive control experience.
• PLC ladder logic understanding.
• Machinery rebuilding / refurbishing.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• General and preventative maintenance of all equipment.
• Maintenance of systems (air, water, vacuum, nitrogen).
• Electrical and mechanical upkeep across plant systems.
• Assisting in machine rebuilds and upgrades.
• Daily production machine troubleshooting and repair.
• Document repairs and PM of equipment.
• Fabrication of fixtures as needed.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
• Work with other departments to achieve goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
