Responsibilities

• Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal items using hand tools, power tools, and metal finishing techniques.
• Examines and feels surface to detect dents, scratches, or defects.
• Removes dents using hammer dolly block and fills uneven surfaces with solder.
• Smooths surface to specified finish using hand or powered tools.
• Polish metal surface using polishing wheel or belt.
• Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or with hoist.
• Verifies dimensions with measuring devices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Comply with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Account for time and work completed via online data collection system.
