Pratt Industries in Sandston, VA is seeking a Machine Helper for the 2nd shift. You will assist the Operator, help oversee machine setup and production, and ensure orders meet specifications while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and willingness to learn including potential operator duties for vacations or illness, with a full benefits package and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Strong math/algebra skills.
• Problem solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure that fellow crew members adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist in ensuring the proper mechanical set up and running of the machine.
• Assist in ensuring that all orders produced are completed according to specifications provided.
• Maintain acceptable production rates.
• Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of crew members.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
