The Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory testing preparation and related work in a dedicated clinical lab setting on the UC campus in Cincinnati, OH.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position starts on first shift for training and then transitions to second shift (Mon-Fri 3:30 pm-12:00 am with rotating weekends; Saturday 12:00 pm-8:30 pm). The role emphasizes accuracy, workflow coordination, and a lifesaving mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing preparation and related work, including assembling specimen kits and preparing reagents.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and manage lab materials and supplies.
• Maintain work-related records and prepare lists of sample parameters for units.
