Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Sterling Heights, MI seeks a Maintenance Electrical Mechanic for the second shift to perform skilled electrical/electronic maintenance on stamping equipment. The role requires diagnosing failures, wiring, pneumatics, and control systems, with focus on safety and 5S practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechatronics technician degree and experience with PLCs/Allen Bradley, CNCs, and HMI/VDF systems, and be able to work at heights up to 40 feet as well as obtain

Qualifications

• Mechatronics technician degree and ability to diagnose malfunctioning systems including gearboxes, pumps, and motors.
• Knowledge of CNCs, stamping presses and related machinery.
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet and obtain forklift/aerial permits.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled journey-level work in electrical/electronic maintenance in an industrial stamping facility.
• Install and maintain building electrical, pneumatics, and control systems; troubleshoot PLCs.
• Program Allen Bradley controllers, maintain 5S and safety policies; support continuous improvement.
• Document work orders, maintain clean work area, and comply with MIOSHA/ISO requirements.
