Job summary

The Krusteaz Company in Effingham, IL is hiring a Second Shift Production Operator to support packaging dry food products and operate packaging machinery on a rotating basis. You will handle data entry, quality checks, and safety procedures to maintain GMP standards.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, forklift transfer, inventory checks, and coordinating with the previous shift to ensure continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous food processing experience preferred.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and pass basic tests (reading/arithmetic, agility, background check, chemical screening, references).
• Must be flexible to work any shift and overtime when necessary.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other MS systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and process control systems.
• Perform regular sanitation tasks.
• Data entry and recordkeeping for production and inventory.
• Coordinate with previous shift to ensure continuity.
• Provide training to employees as changes or new methods arise.
• Assist with rail car / bulk unloading tasks.
