Job summary

The Ronald McDonald House Atlanta Peachtree Dunwoody location seeks a Second Shift Facilities Coordinator to maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness during standard hours. This on-site role supports the House Manager and responds to emergencies after hours as needed.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with hands-on maintenance duties and collaboration with guest services to ensure a secure, comfortable environment for families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Experience in facilities, general maintenance, or building operations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently during operating hours and remain calm in emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance tools.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic walk-throughs of the PDH facility, inspecting safety, maintenance, and cleanliness concerns.
• Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, thermostat adjustments, painting, and drywall touch-ups.
• Complete evening preventative maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Maintain orderly storage, utility, and mechanical areas during the shift.
• Monitor safety systems and respond to alarms or facility-related emergencies.
• Provide backup support to the House Manager for guest needs related to facilities or safety concerns.
• Prepare detailed shift notes for the daytime facilities team and ensure tools/workspaces are ready for the next day.
