Job summary

Colonial Group in Springfield, MO is seeking an assembler to build electronic components and subassemblies from work orders and production drawings, ensuring quality, precision, and safety compliance.

You’ll work on the second shift (Tue-Fri, 3:45pm–2:15am) with a $1.50/hr shift differential. A high school diploma and 1–3 months of experience or training are required, plus strong dexterity and ability to follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 months of experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience; must pass ABC program testing.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and follow production drawings or instructions.
• Assemble and secure parts using hand tools and fixtures.
• Perform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, or color coding.
• Inspect parts using basic testing methods.
• Handle and install finished assemblies into enclosures.
• Identify hazards and report to management/safety coordinator.
• Collaborate with EHS to meet regulatory requirements (OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA).
• Work with Quality to ensure AS9100 standards compliance.
