Job summary

The AMES Carlisle Distribution Center is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead daily operations for a 1.2 million square foot facility, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency while guiding a team of about 40 on the second shift.

This role requires coaching, training, and performance management, with focus on inbound receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping, plus KPI tracking and cross‑functional collaboration to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent supervisory experience required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a DC environment.
• Experience with distribution center operations and e-commerce fulfillment encouraged.
• Proficiency with WMS, RF devices, and yard management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations in a 1.2 million sq ft facility across two shifts.
• Lead and develop ~40 second-shift employees through coaching and performance management.
• Ensure safety, policy compliance, and operational standards are upheld.
• Monitor attendance, labor utilization, and staffing to maintain productivity.
• Manage inbound receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping.
• Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement in productivity and costs.
• Collaborate with transportation, customer service, and supply chain teams to resolve issues.
