UPMC Hamot Imaging is seeking a Full-Time Diagnostic Technologist for the second shift (2:30pm-11pm). Join a team providing high-quality imaging services across the Erie region with advanced imaging technology and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT-approved program with graduation date.
• ARRT Registry eligible; must obtain radiography registry within 12 months of hire/transfer.
• CPR/BLS required per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
• NY facility exceptions apply; NY licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients using two identifiers and applies universal protocol.
• Administers PO and rectal contrast per physician orders/department policy.
• Ensures exams are coded, archived, and billed; networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation.
• Performs diagnostic radiography procedures per established protocols.
• Uses complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate instructions clearly to patients and work as a team member.
• Adjusts protocols with independent judgment to optimize diagnostic imaging.
