Job summary

UPMC Heritage Primary Care is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to join the team on a full-time, day-shift basis. No holidays, evenings, or weekends. A signing bonus of $10,000 may be available with a 2-year commitment to UPMC.

The role involves performing diagnostic radiography, reviewing orders, documenting patient history, and ensuring accurate coding and archiving in RIS/ISITE systems while maintaining a high standard of patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience with radiology procedures and patient interaction.
• Ability to document and review patient history and orders.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol.
• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures according to protocol.
• Document patient history in electronic records and ensure proper coding and archiving.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure quality imaging with minimal supervision.
• Communicate clearly with patients to ease anxiety and ensure cooperation.
