Job summary

Oliver Inc. in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a skilled Pressroom Feeder Technician for our multi-color offset and coatings operations.

The role supports make-readies, sets up plates, blankets, and coating blankets, and helps maintain ink, coating, and fountain systems to ensure quality output. You will work the 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm), assist in rapid setups, verify color with densitometry, and train apprentices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1+ year on a multi-color offset, flexographic, or gravure press, or as a 2nd Pressman/Feeder.
• Experience with coatings, UV inks, and inline coating is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review job orders, instructions, proofs, save sheets, and specs before each job.
• Install/remove plates, blankets, and coating blankets; pack cylinders to spec.
• Set/adjust side guides, head stops, gripper fingers, and detectors.
• Maintain fountain solution levels and conductivity; replenish inks and coatings.
• Retrieve, mount, and return inks and plates as required.
• Wash ink units, blankets, cylinders, and fountains between runs.
• Set up and operate densitometers to confirm print quality; identify non-conforming material.
• Support preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Move finished product from press to staging areas.
• Keep the area clean, organized, and safe; train Apprentices; provide lead coverage.
