Job summary

NE-XT Technologies, Windsor, CT, is seeking a dependable second-shift CNC Milling Machine Operator to run established CNC milling programs and setups, inspect parts, and maintain safe, consistent production. Machine setups and independent programming are performed by designated personnel and are not required for this role.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading parts, verifying orientation, monitoring quality, and performing in-process checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments for routine inspections.
• Basic reading of engineering drawings and dimensional requirements."
• Strong safety and quality focus; dependable attendance.
• Able to work second shift independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines using approved programs and established setups.
• Load/unload workpieces and verify orientation and secure clamping.
• Monitor machine, part quality, tool wear, and production progress.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Read and follow drawings and dimensional requirements.
• Make routine operator-level adjustments; escalate complex issues.
• Identify abnormal conditions and nonconforming parts; halt work if needed.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records; ensure traceability.
• Communicate status and issues during shift handoffs.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with procedures.
