Job summary

Anomatic Corporation in New Albany, Ohio is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician to support anodizing operations, wastewater pre-treatment and environmental compliance. The role involves performing analyses on chemical solutions, sample collection, titrations, dilutions, reagent prep, and using ICP-OES and spectrophotometer, with daily air quality monitoring.

Qualifications

Associate degree in chemistry or environmental science preferred.
One year of analytical laboratory experience preferred.
Experience operating an ICP spectrometer or similar PC-controlled instrument.
Proficiency in proper laboratory safety protocols.
Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient computer skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to differentiate between colors.
Ability to stand for a lengthy amount of time.
Flexible schedule to cover illness, vacation or emergency.

Responsibilities

Conduct analytical analyses using wet lab protocols and acid testing methods.
Perform manual colorimetric titrations and operate pH meter, oven, balance, and other laboratory equipment.
Use hydrometer, pipettor, thermometer, and burette, and prepare reagents and calibrate instruments.
Follow glassware cleaning procedures and general laboratory housekeeping practices.
Perform routine or preventive maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment.
Perform other duties as requested.
Understand basic safety procedures and follow MSDS or company procedures for handling chemicals safely.
Understand sampling techniques for an industrial manufacturing environment and participate with HAZ‑MAT or First Aid teams.
