Job summary

Anomatic in Newark, Ohio, is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician to support anodizing operations, wastewater pretreatment and environmental compliance. The role involves analytical testing of chemical solutions, sample collection, titrations, dilutions, reagent prep and instrument use (ICP-OES, spectrophotometer).

Reports are generated through spreadsheets and reports. Responsibilities include daily air quality monitoring and potential involvement in HAZ-MAT or First Aid events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or environmental science preferred.
• Analytical laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience operating ICP spectrometers or similar instruments.
• Proficient in laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical analyses using wet lab methods and acid testing.
• Collect samples and prepare reagents for instrument analyses.
• Operate instruments like ICP-OES and spectrophotometer and log results.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and document data in reports/spreadsheets.
• Support safety procedures and assist during emergencies as needed.
