Summary
The Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF, and/or Memory Care residents of Capri Communities LLC, with adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.
2nd Shift Differential
The Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF, and/or Memory Care residents of Capri Communities LLC, with adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Must be available to work every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
- Adheres to the written Resident Care Plan to:
- Assist residents in maintaining independence with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutritional needs. Also provides assistance with preparing meals, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with resident transfers. 1:1 transfer assistance.
- Assist residents with medical administration and maintain related reporting requirements.
- Perform delegated tasks as instructed by supervisors.
- Perform acceptable healthcare practices.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties as directed.
- Lead or assist with activities for residents, scheduled or impromptu.
- Observe and report resident conditions and safety hazards promptly.
- Document observations and activities accurately and timely.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Organize shift duties to promote residents' emotional well-being.
- Protect residents' health information according to HIPAA and laws.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
- Stay updated on State Regulations and DHS requirements.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
- High School diploma preferred but not required.
- At least twelve months of experience as a personal aide, Caregiver, or similar life experience.
- Completion of CBRF and CNA certifications preferred.
- Reliability and flexibility in scheduling, including holidays and weekends.
- Patience, understanding, and ability to meet residents' daily needs.
- Knowledge of and compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to promote resident satisfaction and address concerns.
