Crystal Cabinet Works in Princeton, MN is seeking a Machine Operator to operate the belt sander and help meet production targets on the 2nd shift.

The role involves setting up the sander, loading parts, inspecting quality, and performing routine machine maintenance. You will work with different wood species, take precise measurements, and contribute to a team that values accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Operate belt sander to meet quality specifications and production schedules.
• Set up sander height and pressure, adjust as needed.
• Load & unload parts, inspect for quality.
• Address defects by re-sanding, puttying and hand sanding.
• Read measurements and perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Sets up sander ensuring height and pressure settings are correct and adjusts if needed.
• Prioritizes work by job number, green slip or OCS.
• Loads & unloads parts from sander and inspects for quality.
• Deals with defects by re-sanding, puttying and hand sanding.
• Sands edge tape on box parts and flat panel doors.
• Creates green slips for parts which must be remade.
• Adjusts computerized machine settings as needed to enable machine to sand specialty component parts/wood species.
• Performs final inspection of cabinet parts per job to verify quality of product produced.
