Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA in Austin, TX, is seeking a Lab Assistant - Bio-Medical for 2nd shift to support patient care with meticulous specimen handling and equipment restocking.

You will work in a compliant, safety-driven lab environment, using centrifuges and computers, following PHI safeguards and quality controls. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with match, and free lab services for you and dependents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Restock and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a laboratory with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
• 1–2 years of related experience in a clinical laboratory is a bonus.
