Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician for the Second shift to support patient care by maintaining equipment, processing specimens, and upholding safety and quality standards in a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic lab equipment operation, and strong reading, writing, and analytical skills; experience in specimen handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills essential.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (centrifuges, computers, alarms, etc.).
• Bonus: 1–2 years of related lab, data entry, or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure laboratory equipment and instrumentation are restocked and maintained.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a lab with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory equipment and instrumentation are restocked and maintained.

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
