Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Concord, NC seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician for the second shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). You will support clients in detox and residential treatment, monitor safety, and assist with daily living activities to help clients stay engaged in treatment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, reliability, and crisis-support skills, plus a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client admissions and intake procedures.
• Monitor and interact with clients to maintain a safe, structured and therapeutic environment.
• Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable and per policy.
• Maintain accurate client records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor client activities and encourage participation in treatment programming.
• Support clients in following treatment plan objectives and meeting individualized needs.
• Provide safe and timely transportation for clients as needed.
• Recognize and respond to crises following established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment, including basic housekeeping duties.
• Assist with mealtimes and dietary needs as appropriate.
• Establish therapeutic boundaries and professional relationships.
• Communicate client concerns to clinical and supervisory staff.
• Complete required training and participate in staff development.
