Positronic Industries, Inc. in Springfield, MO is seeking a Second Shift Assembly Shift Supervisor to lead an on-site production team, ensuring targets for quality, safety and efficiency are met.

You will analyze labor and production data, coach staff, enforce AS9100-related standards, and coordinate with EHS and Quality to maintain regulatory compliance on the shop floor. This role emphasizes mentorship, timely problem-solving, and cost-conscious process improvements.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Able to read work instructions, blueprints, or assembly drawings and production schedules.
• Basic computer skills: email, Microsoft Excel and Word, and entering or pulling data from an ERP/MRP system.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and the ability to enforce safety rules on the floor.

Second Shift Assembly Shift Supervisor (Finance)

Summary

Leads and coordinates shift-level assembly team performance, ensuring targets are met for production, quality, and safety through hands-on support and leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead team members and track quality and production goals.
• Coordinate scheduling and monitor workflow efficiency.
• Analyze labor and production data for improvements.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, including at least 2 years in a lead, team lead, or supervisory role directing the work of others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, industrial technology, manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a tight-tolerance, high-reliability manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement tools; Green Belt or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience scheduling labor, tracking productivity and efficiency metrics, and leading root-cause and corrective-action work.
• Experience with Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or a similar ERP system.

Physical

• Frequent walking with periods of sitting and standing.
• Occasional ladder climbing and stooping.
• Uses arms/hands frequently to assist with machinery.
• Occasionally lifts 0-30 lbs; rarely up to 50 lbs.
• PPE includes safety glasses at all times; gloves as required.

Shift

Second Shift (Tuesday - Friday 3:45pm - 2:15am)

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in production zone with frequent exposure to loud machines and nitrogen-based chemicals.
