Qualifications

• HUET and strong knowledge of SMS, risk management, and FAA regulations.

HSUSA is the nation's leader in offshore wind support as the first and only dedicated U.S. operator in the sector, a recognized leader in helicopter harbor pilot transfers, and the world leader in hoist volume, conducting more than 15,000 hoist evolutions annually.

Position Summary

HeliService USA is seeking an experienced and dedicated co-pilot to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This position involves conducting IFR operations, crew transfer flights, and precision hoist missions with the AW-169 helicopter. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic offshore environment and is committed to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IFR operations in compliance with 14 CFR Part 135 regulations.
• Execute hoisting missions in both onshore and offshore environments, adhering tocompany SOPs and safety protocols.
• Ensure operational readiness, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, mission planning, and risk assessments.
• Perform hoisting missions in the offshore environment, adhering to company SOPs, safety protocols and 14 CFR Part 133 regulations.
• Act as a Co-Pilot while fostering a culture of Crew Resource Management (CRM).
• Maintain compliance with HeliService USA policies, FAA regulations, and Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Qualifications

• Licenses and Certifications:
  • FAA ATP or Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States of America.
• Flight Experience (Required):
  • Total Hours (Helicopter): 500
  • Total Hours in Command: 100
• Additional Preferred Experience:
  • CFI/CFII or equivalent
  • Multi Engine Hours (Helicopter): 250
  • Offshore experience
  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, SMS, and FAA regulations

Training/Specific Activities Required

• Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
• Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on policies, procedures, and developments as well as to meet all company compliance standards.
• Employment at HeliService USA is contingent on successful completion of training and release to the line by the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Director of Training at the completion of the required line training period.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check must be completed and approved in accordance with DOT/FAA regulations prior to hire.

Possible Work Hazards

Exposure to loud noises, aviation related chemicals, and frequently moving objects at a high velocity.
