Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Texas State Teaching Certification (preferred) per state requirements.
• Background check clearance is required.
• Safe Haven child abuse awareness training is required/mandatory.
• Catholic school philosophy alignment and catechist certification or progression toward one.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school curriculum consistent with school goals and objectives.
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates plans into learning experiences.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction to meet individual needs, including students with special needs.
• Instructs students on digital citizenship and follows school policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of grades, attendance and student progress.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates effectively with families.
