Job summary

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School in Houston, TX seeks a faith-filled Second Grade Teacher who embraces Catholic education and forms students spiritually, academically, socially, and morally.

The teacher will implement TEKS-aligned lessons in Religion, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies, differentiate instruction, assess progress, and prepare students for First Holy Communion in collaboration with families and parish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• Valid Texas teaching certification or eligibility required.
• Knowledge of elementary instructional best practices and child development.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to support and uphold Catholic Church teachings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver TEKS-aligned lessons across Religion, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress.
• Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
