Job summary

South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce seeks a Second Chance Workforce Consultant in Columbia. You will support justice-involved individuals, coordinating trainings, services, and recruitment events both in-person and virtually.

You will serve as the main liaison for partnerships with the SC Department of Corrections and Workforce Development, overseeing grant opportunities and related programs to facilitate successful reintegration into the workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent minimum experience in case management/career counseling.

Responsibilities

• Identify barriers to employment and develop solutions with clients.
• Perform client-centered case management and career planning.
• Maintain up-to-date records in SCWOS.
• Coordinate trainings, services, and recruitment events for justice-involved individuals.
• Collaborate with SC Department of Corrections and Workforce Development for grant opportunities.
