Westchester Hills Golf Club in White Plains, NY, is seeking a Full-Time Second Assistant Superintendent to support golf course operations and safety campaigns. The role involves pesticide licensing, safety inspections, supervision of staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or AA in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine safety inspections on spraying and fertilizer equipment.
• Reads and keeps MSDS up-to-date.
• Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas per regulations.
• Ensures safety and direction of chemical/fertilizer handlers and helpers.
• Maintains logs of applications and related reports.
• Handles hand spraying and correct mixing amounts and application techniques.
• Keeps knowledge of chemicals and fertilizers current.
• Ensures proper calibration of spraying and fertilizing equipment.
• Supervises maintenance staff and daily duties.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assists with interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, and evaluating performance.
• Manages department members and training programs.
• Monitors forecasts and plans manpower, productivity, costs, and expenses.
• Incorporates safe work practices and ensures reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
