Job summary

Worthington Country Club is seeking a Second Assistant Superintendent to assist the Golf Course Superintendent in daily golf course maintenance, irrigation system management, and staff supervision. The role includes enforcing safety programs and maintaining course conditions across all areas of the property in Bonita Springs, FL.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Agronomy or Horticulture preferred; turf certificate with experience as 2nd Assistant or intern is preferred.
• Florida Pest Applicator’s License required or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years golf course maintenance experience on a course.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of golf course and equipment.
• Direct administration and execution of policies established by the superintendent.
• Maintain accurate work records and performance of staff.
• Supervise planting, fertilizing, and care of turf, plants, shrubs, and related facilities.
• Ensure safety programs comply with local, state, and federal laws.
• Attend committee and board meetings as needed.
