Job summary

FirstEnergy, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join the corporate finance team. You will prepare monthly internal statements, analysis of cash flows, and SEC/regulatory reporting while supporting external auditors.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will collaborate with legal, investor relations and treasury to maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4–7 years relevant work experience.
• Strong US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly internal financial statements and analysis of cash flows.
• Prepare and analyze SEC and regulatory disclosures.
• Support external auditors and internal controls over financial reporting.
