Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an accounting professional to provide support for the FirstEnergy Transmission Business from an Akron-area site. The role will consolidate reports, forecast costs, and deliver timely GAAP and FERC accounting guidance to leadership across FEU Finance and corporate departments.

You will analyze financial and operational data, prepare general ledger entries, and support annual formula rate processes, with emphasis on accuracy, cross-functional collaboration, and improving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
• General knowledge of financial statement analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word.
• Demonstrate a questioning attitude to learn and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Support annual formula rate process and respond to discovery.
• Calculate and record revenue monthly and analyze variances.
• Analyze data to drive financial and operational improvements.
• Prepare and review FERC forms.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Provide GAAP and FERC guidance impacting financial results.
