This is a self-starter role that requires the ability to work independently but also take direction and collaborate within a team. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of five years of litigation experience, with duties including filing pleadings, organizing files, drafting documents, submitting conflict checks, and maintaining calendars.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of litigation experience.
• Experience filing pleadings and other legal documents.
• Ability to organize files, update case information sheets, and pleadings indexes.
• Drafting, typing, editing and proofreading correspondence and documents.
• Submit conflict checks, open new matters, and close files.
• Maintain calendars and docketing for court dates and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Filing pleadings and legal documents with State/Federal courts and hearing examiners.
• Organizing and maintaining files, binders, and case information sheets.
• Drafting, typing, editing, and proofreading correspondence and documents.
• Submitting conflict checks; opening and closing matters.
• Coordinating with clients, counsel, court officials, and services.
• Managing a heavy workload and meeting deadlines; calendar management.
