Job summary

Anduril Industries in Seattle is seeking a Machine Learning Perception Engineer to own end-to-end perception capabilities for UAVs, USVs, and UGVs. You will develop, deploy, and monitor perception models across land, sea, and air platforms, ensuring real-time performance and maintainability in production.

Role spans data prep, model design, deployment, and field monitoring, with roughly half time on new model development and half on hardening existing pipelines. Eligible for U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own perception capabilities end-to-end: detection, classification, segmentation, depth estimation, scene description, tracking, sensor fusion, and calibration across UAV/USV/UGV.
• Bring state-of-the-art models into production, survey, prototype, and integrate latest research while ensuring maintainability and observability.
• Optimize and deploy models to embedded hardware (Jetson/Orin) with real-time latency ~30 ms per frame.
• Architect and improve CI/CD pipelines for ML data ingest, labeling, training.
• Onboard new sensors and features end-to-end, e.g., OCR metadata, LiDAR sources.
• Train models in cloud and on-prem, deploy to edge and cloud, ~50/50 inference split.
• Monitor deployed models for drift and build tooling to detect/respond to drift.
• Collaborate across hardware, systems, and program engineers to ship perception capabilities.
