Our client, a nationally recognized management-side labor and employment law firm, seeks a junior Employment Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of litigation experience to join its Seattle office. The position offers exposure to sophisticated labor and employment matters, agency work, and hands-on litigation experience in Washington and the Pacific Northwest.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Washington State Bar membership.
• 2–3 years of litigation experience.
• Employment law experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and advocacy abilities.
• Strong organizational and case-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated interest in labor and employment law.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in labor and employment litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, initial pleadings, motions, administrative filings, and agency position statements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
• Assist with case strategy development and litigation planning.
• Support matters through all phases of litigation: discovery, motions, mediation, arbitration, trial prep.
• Advise employers regarding workplace disputes and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on case management and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage multiple deadlines and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
