Job summary

Overland AI is hiring an infrastructure software engineer to design and build internal platforms, libraries, and tooling used by AI, robotics, and backend teams. You will standardize logging, telemetry, database access, and service deployment while contributing to CI/CD, DevOps, and compliance initiatives.

Our team is small and highly technical, operating across physical infrastructure, cloud platforms, and field deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software/Backend Eng, DevOps, or related fields.
• Proficient in Python, Go, Rust, or C++ with production-grade tooling.
• Experience building shared libraries, APIs, or developer platforms.
• Strong understanding of databases, distributed systems, observability, and SOA.
• Experience with logging/metrics/tracing using DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop shared libraries, SDKs, and frameworks for logging and service communication.
• Build internal tooling and automation to boost developer productivity and reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling with infra teams.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, and robotics teams on patterns and best practices.
• Contribute to cloud-native systems across AWS, Kubernetes, and on-prem environments.
• Mentor engineers and shape direction for shared platforms and standards.
