Job summary

W3Global is recruiting an experienced Litigation Attorney for a fast-growing real estate practice in New York. You will manage a substantial caseload from inception to resolution, appear in New York courts, and develop litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.

Required are a NY State Bar in good standing, superb research and writing, motion drafting, and strong client-relations skills. Opportunities for mentorship and career growth accompany a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of litigation experience, preferably involving foreclosure, mortgage default services, real estate, commercial litigation, or related matters.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing
• Substantial experience handling cases independently from inception through resolution
• Strong knowledge of New York Supreme Court procedures, rules, and filing requirements
• Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions and other litigation papers
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience with compliance requirements applicable to mortgage and lender default litigation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and develop practical litigation strategies
• Strong client-management and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a substantial caseload from inception through conclusion
• Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve favourable outcomes
• Draft, review, and finalize pleadings and other court submissions
• Conduct legal research and apply relevant law to complex matters
• Appear regularly in New York State courts for conferences, motions, and hearings
• Prepare for and participate in depositions and discovery proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Analyse cases and provide practical recommendations to clients
• Review and oversee work product for accuracy and deadlines
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to meet client objectives
• Mentor and guide junior attorneys and legal staff
