Job summary

Anderson Columbia Co. Inc. is seeking an experienced mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on gas and diesel engines and support material handling equipment. You will handle preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.

We offer pay starting at $20/hour DOE, with benefits after 3 months including healthcare, dental, eye, life insurance, paid holidays, and a 401(k) match after 6 months. CDL considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with both gas and diesel engine repair.
• Must have basic set of general tools
• Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Physical.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work 10-12 hour shifts Monday - Friday, with the occasional Saturday.
• Experience utilizing machines/equipment as follows: hand tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder, cutting torch, hydraulic gear puller, electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and platform lifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment.
• Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems.
• Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.
• Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests
