Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in construction roles.
• Willing to travel to sites in northwestern and central Montana; camper recommended.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of pipe installation.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating an excavator.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
• Work outdoors in varied weather; safety program compliance.
• Must comply with drug and alcohol testing policies.
• Union membership with Operating Engineers is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator for mainline digging and pipe installation.
• Load trucks with an excavator in a high production environment.
• Communicate with ground personnel, truck drivers and supervisors.
• Perform basic daily equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with on-site mechanic to resolve equipment issues.
• Complete timecards and equipment inspections daily.
