Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical Group seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service and repair HVAC and related systems, including 15-ton+ units and mini-splits.

You will maintain PM contracts, provide elite customer service, and participate in FirstCall Academy for ongoing skill development. EPA cert and TWIC card preferred, with flexible hours and on‑call availability.

Qualifications

• TWIC card required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Active EPA Certification.
• 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
• OSHA10 Certification.
• Manufacturer Certification preferred.
• Available to work flexible hours, on‑call shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Perform maintenance, service, and repairs, installing new units or replacing parts of existing units according to specifications of 15 tons+.
• Maintain larger preventive maintenance (PM) contracts with more than 5 units.
• Repair or replace defective parts in units, equipment and their controls.
• Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTUs and mini‑splits for 15 tons or less.
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers.
• Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered.
