Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH is partnering with a leading manufacturing solutions provider to hire a CNC Machinist for an on-site temporary role in the Seattle area. You will set up, load, and operate CNC machines, write and modify programs, and perform fixturing and calibration for production runs.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of CNC operation and programming experience, be proficient in G-code and CAM software, and be able to read technical drawings with GD&T interpretation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of CNC operation and programming experience.
• Proficiency in G-code and CAM software is essential.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret GD&T.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; experience with multiple CNC machine types preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and operate CNC machines according to detailed specifications.
• Prepare complex machine setups for production runs, including fixturing and calibration.
• Write and modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot programming and machine issues, making real-time adjustments to maintain quality.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify parts meet specifications using precision measurement tools.
