Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full time CHEF positions at Winchester Gardens, Maplewood, NJ. Location: 333 Elmwood Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040. Schedule is full time with flexible days/hours based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Prior professional culinary experience is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in an à la carte dining environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned kitchen, food production and food-service associates.
• Supervises cooks and hourly kitchen staff; manages interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensures high-quality food items prepared per recipes; maintains portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and workstation; ensures compliance with safety and merchandising requirements.
• Participates in recipe and menu development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
