Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to obtain them.
• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP/standard procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply instructions, policies and regulations with discretion.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to multi-task independently.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and manage tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities.
