Job summary

Coastal Cask Restaurant - Paradies Lagardere in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Non-Exempt bartender to greet guests, take orders, mix drinks, and handle payments. You will ensure beverage quality, assist with menu recommendations, and help maintain a clean, compliant bar environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of bartending experience, strong math and cash handling skills, and excellent customer service. The role requires flexibility across shifts in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Food & Beverage experience is preferred but not required.
• 1 year of bartending experience required.
• Knowledge of math for cost calculation, making change and cash handling.
• Strong communication and ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to work unsupervised and exercise good judgment with customers and peers.
• Flexibility to work various shifts in a 7/365 team environment.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication.
• Self-starter able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• Reading, writing and math proficiency.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and perform standing, bending and walking.

Responsibilities

• Exceed First Class Service standards with guests and partners.
• Greets guests, takes drink and food orders, and suggests additional items.
• Follow recipes and mixing directions for beverages.
• Process transactions through the POS accurately.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and enforce alcohol service guidelines.
• Keep bar clean, sanitized and stocked.
• Comply with health, safety and sanitation rules.
• Inventory beverages and supplies; reorder as needed.
• Build guest loyalty through training tools and sales opportunities.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and adhere to safety rules.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal regulations including food safety.
